Psychotherapy is a form of talking therapy that offers the space to explore thoughts, emotions, relationships, and life experiences in a deep, introspective manner in order to work towards your own aspirations. It can help you better understand yourself, navigate challenges, and develop new ways of relating to yourself and others.
Therapists practising at Saans offer existential psychotherapy, systemic therapy, and couples and family therapy. Sessions provide a calm, confidential space where you can slow down, reflect, and explore what feels most important to you.
Existential psychotherapy explores questions around identity, meaning, relationships, freedom, and how we navigate uncertainty or change. Rather than trying to “fix” emotions, this approach helps you reflect on your experiences, values, and relationships so you can better understand yourself and live more authentically. You can read more about our approach on the Approach page.
Systemic family therapy explores how our family, partners, culture, and social environments shape our emotional experiences. It can be especially helpful for couples, families, or individuals experiencing conflict, communication difficulties, life transitions, or feelings of disconnection. You can read more about our approach on the Approach page.
Saans is home to several independent therapists, each with their own approach and specialisms. When you get in touch, we will suggest the practitionor we think is the best fit, and they will contact you directly to arrange an initial conversation.

Yes. Practitioners at Saans work with people from a wide range of cultural and personal backgrounds. We recognise that culture, identity, family, relationships and life experiences can shape how we understand ourselves and the challenges we face. Your therapist will provide space to explore these experiences with openness, curiosity and respect.
Therapy can be helpful if you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or simply want a space to reflect and understand yourself more deeply. A free 15-minute consultation is the best way to see if it feels like the right fit. You can book a consultation through the Contact page, and you’re welcome to get in touch with any questions.
Yes. Practitioners at Saans can support a wide range of experiences, including anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, stress, life transitions, and feelings of being stuck or overwhelmed. Our approach combines existential psychotherapy and systemic therapy, exploring both your personal experiences and the relationships and environments that shape your life. Sessions are collaborative; there is no single “right” way to do it, and your therapist will move at your pace, focusing on what feels most helpful for you. You can read more about our therapeutic approach here.
Not necessarily. Every family and relationship is unique, so you and your therapist can explore together what feels most helpful for you. There may be times when individual sessions, parent-child sessions, or sibling sessions are helpful. There is no single right way to approach therapy. You and your therapist will work together to find what best supports you and your family.
Your first session is a chance for you and your therapist to get to know each other. It’s an opportunity for you to share your story and explore what brings you to therapy. There is no pressure to ‘perform’ or have an agenda; you and your therapist can explore your needs at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Sessions are available in person on Regent Street (W1), Central London, as well as online. Availability and arrangements will be agreed directly with your therapist. You can find further details on the Contact page.
Sessions are usually held weekly, although the frequency and length of therapy will depend on your needs and the type of therapy. You and your therapist can discuss this together and agree on an arrangement that works for you.
Fees vary between practitioners. Therapists practising at Saans are independent practitioners who set their own fees, and many offer concessionary rates. Please visit the Fees page for further details.
Therapists practising at Saans hold their own professional insurance. If you plan to use private health insurance to cover the cost of therapy, please check with your therapist and insurance provider directly to confirm whether sessions are covered. You are also welcome to get in touch through the Contact page if you have any questions.
Your conversations with your therapist are confidential. Each therapist is responsible for maintaining confidentiality in accordance with their professional and ethical obligations. There may be limited circumstances in which confidentiality needs to be broken, such as where there is a serious risk of harm or a legal requirement to disclose information. Your therapist can explain this to you in more detail.
We ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Please discuss cancellation arrangements and any applicable fees directly with your therapist.
